Callapidder Days is six years old, and it started as a whim, really….just a simple way to record memories, share pictures of my kids with friends and family, and process some of my thoughts through the written word. But blogging turned out to be far more fun and rewarding than I expected, and I’ve had a blast growing my blog, getting to know other bloggers, and finding my personal blogging style.
There’s no overriding, cohesive theme to Callapidder Days (probably because there’s no overriding, cohesive theme to my thoughts most days!), but in general, you’ll find me writing about parenting, faith, reading, friendship, marriage, family board games, or anything else that crosses my mind.
Each fall and spring, I host a fun and low-pressure reading challenge. Bloggers from all over the blogosphere and around the world join in. The premise is simple: set some reading goals for the season, share them with the other participants, and then get reading! At the end of the season, we talk about how we did, which books were our favorites, which were duds, and what we learned during the challenge.
If you’re curious, feel free to visit my page about past reading challenges. And if you like to read (or just wish you were reading more), I encourage you to join us in the next challenge. I usually post details at the beginning of March and the beginning of September.
If you’d like to learn more about me, click on the “About” tab above. Or for a sampling of the kinds of posts I write, check out some classics below. Some have been popular with readers, and some are just close to my heart.
Thanks again for visiting!
