Apparently the weather is confused as to what time of year it is (it was about 20 degrees warmer yesterday than it should have been! …not that I’m complaining). But the calendar confirms that Christmas is three days away. The decorations are in place, wrapped gifts are collecting under the tree, and I’ll be spending today baking way too many cookies. Which means, of course, that it’s time to bring an end to Fall Into Reading 2011.
I want to thank each person that participated in this year’s challenge. And a special thank you to those who answered the weekly reading questions or checked in to occasionally keep me posted on your reading progress over the last three months. You made this season of reading extra fun for me!
As we wrap things up, I just have one more thing to ask. Would you please write a final wrap-up post, letting all of us know how Fall Into Reading 2011 went for you? I would love if you’d take the time to write a final post and link to it using the Mr. Linky below.
Earlier this week, I offered some suggestions for what you might want to write in your wrap-up post, but of course, feel free to write it however you’d like. Once your post is up, come here and sign up on the Mr. Linky below. Don’t forget—include the URL to your wrap-up post, not just your general blog web address, to make it easy for people to find your post.
And don’t forget…there are still two Amazon.com gift certificates ($15 & $10) up for grabs. To be eligible, please post your wrap-up post (and put it on the Mr. Linky) by midnight EST on December 24th to get your name in the drawing. I’ll announce the winner a few days after Christmas.
Thanks again to all the participants. I’ve enjoyed reading with you!

Thanks for the Austen-era mystery suggestion the other day. Our library has it, so I requested it and can’t wait to read it ~ sounds great.
Thanks too for hosting this every fall and spring.
Much fun and I love to join in!

Katrina, I never conquer the challenge but I like participating and making progress on the huge lot of books I own. Your weekly questions were great too – loved blogging my answers. Thanks for everything. Merry Christmas!
Loved the challenge just wish I could have read more of the books on my list.
It sure feels like winter here, woke up to 6″ of snow and it’s still falling!
Thank you for hosting this, and I will be looking forward to your next challenge…is there a “Spring into Reading? ” Beeing German, Spring means Jump…soooo…LOL

Thanks for hosting and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Thanks for hosting this challenge, Katrina. It really helps me plan out my reading so that I am able to finish the other challenges I signed up for!
Happy Holidays!!!
Thanks for hosting this challenge, I had loads of fun!
Thank you for hosting this challenge once again. I look forward to the Spring Challenge. I hope your new year is full of new and wonderful reads.
thanks for hosting…now…how about a winter and summer challenge since those months tend to be slower?? Winter finds me in side most of the time other than for a quick power walk with many evenings of just reading….after work, etc. and summer…well…..many more lazy days to just read….autumn is SUCH a busy time for most people due to back to school/work, extracurricular activities, the holidays, etc. I LOVE this though so if you’re not doing another one til spring, I’ll be joining in again…..and definitely will be reading now that winter has begun! Merry Christmas and thanks for hosting!!
Thank you SOOOO much for hosting this Reading Challenge! I thoroughly enjoyed this SOOOO much!! It was a GREAT way to track the books I needed to read! A GREAT way to mark off and SEE my progress, too! I think I got MORE read by being able to actually SEE my progress rather than keeping it all in my head!
I listed 44 books, and got 38 read! Although, I ADDED books as I went along, such as holiday books!! I got into the mood to read Christmas books! Imagine that!! By doing so, I found a new author for myself who I LOVE!! What a GREAT way to find new authors!! It was a 99 cent Kindle book on Amazon! Now I am starting a 2nd Christmas book she has! Her name is Melody Carlson (same last name as mine!!) called The Christmas Bus! I ready her book called Christmas at Harrington’s and I LOVED it! I could relate to the characters perfectly, and what I thought might end up being an ‘it figures’ ending was NOT!! It was GREAT!!
I hope there is a Winter Reading Challenge somewhere?? Do you know of one?? After doing this one, I would LOVE to do another!!
I am SOOOO glad you hosted this one! I can’t wait till next year!! Will you be sending us a reminder email to come on over and join so we know the dates? I hope so!!
I honestly think I read MORE books than I would have had I NOT participated in this! Especially since this was a ‘public’ list!! EVERYONE could see what I was and was NOT reading!! They could follow along as I went! I posted your button on my right side-column and left it up the ENTIRE length of the Challenge!! That way ANYONE who came to my Blog could see I was participating in this Challenge!! I also put it in a place where I list ALL my Giveaway Blog Hops!! I think it really got attention!! I should go into Blogger’s statistics and see how many people went to that page! Just thought of that!
Honestly, this was a LOT of work for you! It is not over yet, either! Now you have MORE work to do. I just want to take a moment and THANK YOU SOOOO VERY VERY MUCH for hosting this! Bless your Heart!!! I hope YOU had as much fun as ALL of us have had!!
Again, this was such a WONDERFUL way to keep track of my reading! I loved it! I could go back to my post and cross off the books as I read them, ADD books that I got along the way and could NOT refuse reading, too! As I FOUND books for my Kindle to read, I added those, too! It was great!! It was SO NEAT to see how well I was or was not doing, to!
I think tomorrow I am going to go into the button on my blog and change it to the Wrap-Up Post! I’ll keep it there for a little while longer!!
Please, if you or ANYONE knows of a Winter Reading Challenge, please let me know!
Thank you again for ALL YOUR hard work! Looking forward to next year!!!

Boy did this fall fly by or what??? Can’t wait to join you all in the Spring. Thanks Katrina for being a lovely hostess.
Merry Christmas one and all!
this was a fun challenge. Thanks
I so enjoyed my first “Fall Into Reading” challenge and am looking forward to reading how it went for everyone, even as I am scared! (Scared, you see, that I’ll add way too many intriguing titles to my already-long-list-for-2012)! Thank you so much for this community of book-lovers!
I managed to read a lot more than I anticipated. Thank you for hosting once again. It’s always fun to see what everyone is reading.
Well, I finally got my post done. Better late than never. Thanks for hosting!
Thanks so much for hosting this. I haven’t been online much lately and completely forgot about the ending of this challenge! Whoops! Sorry about that. I’ll still write a wrap-up post this week. Just won’t be included in the giveaway. Got too wrapped up in the holidays this year!
Julie @ MyBookRetreat´s last post ..It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?
Oh, there was a deadline? I feel good to have gotten this done before the end of the year! Better late than never is my life motto
Thanks for hosting this – it was the first real challenge I’ve ever signed up for, and I enjoyed it. I am now thinking about signing up for a couple in 2012.

NO!!! First we NEED Spring and Summer!!! I’m skipping Winter!!! Ha, ha,!! The jokes on ME on that one, huh!! Hey- by NOW EVERY YEAR, we have usually had 2 FEET of snow by now!!! We have ONLY had 1″ or maybe 2 at the MOST!! I live near the Lake Huron, and when we get a North East wind, we get DUMPED ON!! Last year 2 days in a ROW we got 1 FOOT of snow!! 2 FEET of snow in 48 hours!! That was something!! So, I feel SOOOO lucky this year!! Also, this is the FIRST Christmas with NO SNOW!!!!!! In at least OVER a decade!!! YEAH!!!! It has NOT been that cold, either!! The temp has been hovering consistently at about 32! Not bad for Michigan!!
