How is your Fall Into Reading 2011 list coming along? You only have eight days until the challenge gets officially underway, so keep working on it!
My list is coming along nicely. I have some good variety so far, but I’m trying to keep my list manageable. Can’t wait to curl up with a blanket and a mug of steaming coffee, and start working through my list!
In the meantime, I just wanted to let you know about the prizes, giveaways, and questions for Fall Into Reading 2011.
- Bethany House Publishers has graciously offered to provide a weekly book giveaway for Fall Into Reading 2011. If all goes as planned, I’ll announce the first giveaway on Wednesday, September 28th. There will be a mix of fiction and nonfiction, so keep a lookout for a book that interests you. You do not have to be a Fall Into Reading 2011 participant in order to enter the giveaways.
- I will also be asking a weekly Reading Question, like I did during last year’s fall reading challenge. Again, you do not have to be participating in Fall Into Reading 2011 in order to answer the weekly questions — I just love to hear everyone’s thoughts and experiences when it comes to reading. I do want to warn you, though, that I’m not feeling very creative, so we might be “re-visiting” some of last year’s questions as we go along. I also plan to post these questions on Wednesdays, beginning September 28th.
To ensure you don’t miss a Giveaway or a Reading Question, subscribe to my feed (or “like” the Callapidder Days page on Facebook).
There will also be a couple prizes available just for Fall Into Reading participants:
- A $15 gift certificate to Amazon.com
- A $10 gift certificate to Amazon.com
To be eligible for these prizes, you must:
- Post your intitial Fall Into Reading 2011 post (and enter it on the linky list on my blog) by midnight on September 27th.
- AND post a wrap-up post on your blog at the end of the challenge (and enter it on the linky list I’ll have up then) by midnight on December 24th.
That’s it. I’ll randomly draw the winners shortly after Christmas.

I have my post written and ready to publish, but I am sure I’ll be in there changing my list between now and the first day of Fall! I actually have a post on my blog from earlier in the week where I asked for suggestions on what to read next. So if I get more responses, my list will definitely be changing!

I’ve been making my list and checking it twice and trying to make it shorter because I know I can’t possibly read all the books on my list in one season!
My blog post is almost complete…I think I might go a bit bigger on my expectations this year since both of my girls are now in school. YEA!!! Can’t wait to see what everyone has on their lists.
I am definitely in! This was the first challenge I ever did on my blog last year. Hopefully I will have better success this year!
