I don’t know about you, but it’s hard for me to believe that it’s May 20th already. 2011 is just flying by!
And the fact that it’s May 20th means we only have one month left in Spring Reading Thing 2011. One month from today, summer will be arriving and SRT ’11 will be ending.
SO…how are you doing? Do you think you’re on track for achieving your SRT goals?
I’ve been pleased with my progress this time around. As of this morning, I only have two books to go (both nonfiction, of course) and I’ve already begun both of them. Because I am a geek, I figured out last night that if I read 12 pages per day, I should finish them both by June 20th. That’s totally doable…as long as I actually follow through!
Let me know how SRT ’11 is gong for you!

I only have 2 books left two and guess what? They are both fiction! I got all my non-fictions finished and even threw in one extra one for a book review. For some unfathomable reason, I must have been in a non-fiction mood this go round because I finished 6 of them. Yes, you read that right! The world may stop turning anytime. LOL.
Remember when I said I was aiming for 30 because I wanted to read more than the normal 28 I get in during your 3 month challenges? I have not only have I read 33 so far, but I’ve been absolutely devouring books all year. And we are going to get a 3 month membership this summer to our massive county library & I cannot wait! They have many books that are sitting on my TBR list because my city library doesn’t have them. Wooohooo! Swimming & reading all summer.

I also only have two books left on my list. I’m about halfway through one of them, so I’m definitely on track to finish in time. Yay!

I still have 21 books on the list to go, which normally wouldn’t be a problem. BUT the issue lies in, i had to add several more books to my TBR list because a lot of books came in that had to be reviewed before the end of the challenge, thus pushing back the reading of the challenge books (which now all are scheduled to be reviewed AFTER the challenge and not during like i thought they would be). this may be the first year that I fail to complete

Glad you are doing well for the challenge..!
I’m so behind my schedule..*blush blush*
Kids fell sick for 2 weeks in Mar & another 2 weeks in April..that ate up part of my reading time..I barely have time for sleep (clocking an average of 4hrs per night)
Have tried to do some catching up in the reading in May..but I didn’t want to ‘stress’ myself..cos this is suppose to be a Fun Challenge not a Stressful on rite..?
My goal was to read 20 books, I’ve already read 18! Of course only 12 are from my original list but such is the life of a book blogger.
I’ve read 6 books out of my goal for 10 – which means 4 more books including the book I’m reading now. It’s…. doable, but I’m going to be cutting it close.
Hmmm–well, looking back over my list, my goals were a little vague, but I’d say that I’m 1/2 to 2/3 finished. I guess I need to sort of get with it!
Jennifer, Snapshot´s last post ..I love a good bookstore trip
I have 7/16 books read. Although I’m almost done book 8. And it being the long weekend I may be able to squeeze in book 9, and get started on another book. I’ve made two changes to the choices of the book, but for the most part I’m happy with the challenge. Some of my books will likely be un-put-downable.
Sounds like you are doing great! I have 1 and half of my 4 books left. However, I have finished the longest one
I am doing very well on fiction – only 3 left out of 20, but nonfiction is a different story! I have read 1 1/2 out of 5 planned books. It will be interesting to see how I finish up!

At this point, I will be happy if I make it through half my original list.
While a few more books are still on my list, I did better than I did for Winter, I think it was. I am right now reading two classics–not a good idea. Hopefully I have learned from experience to make sure I never schedule the reading of 2 classics at once again. If I at least finish those by the end of this month and can hopefully read 1-2 more books, I will be happy. I have done more than half of my list–almost 3 quarters. Thanks for this challenge. It has been very good!
Well, I had planned to read 6 books, and so far I’ve read 5 and am now reading my 6th book. However, only 3 were on the initial list… So, I’m doing pretty good, I’ll read more than I originally planned to, I just wont read all I planned to read
Did a little update post here: http://sarah-proverbs226.blogspot.com/2011/05/spring-reading-thing-one-month-to-go.html
Didn’t read as much from my list as I did other books!
oh well! Happy reading all!!
It’s going well for me. I am waiting on a book from the library, that may never get read. I keep adding more books to read while I wait! I am so excited. I love these challenges. I just updated my blog, so you can all go and see my progress!!
