Lego Giveaway: Highway Transporter

I don’t know about you, but we have a lot of Legos in our house. Just today, I was cleaning out a drawer, and there was a red brick. I later found a forlorn, beheaded Lego dude under a table in the basement. Though I try to keep all the small bricks and plates and random parts confined to one or two bins, it seems they spread. Or maybe they’re multiplying.

Bottom line: Legos. are. everywhere.

And yet, it seems we always get excited about new Lego sets.

Which is why I’m thrilled to be giving away a very cool Lego set to one of you!

The nice folks from All Children’s Furniture.com (yes, they sell furniture, but also toys and other cool stuff) have offered me the opportunity to give one of my readers the Lego Highway Transport set.

Here are the stats:

  • Build a vehicle transporter and two cars, or use included instructions to make a tow truck or mobile crane
  • Steering that really works, and a trailer ramp that lowers, to allow the cars to drive onto the transporter
  • Carrier is more than 19 inches long
  • 1,294 pieces!

Surely there’s a kid in your life who would love to receive this set. And since it has a selling price of around $90, wouldn’t it be awesome to win it?

Yeah, I thought so.

Okay, so here’s the deal. If you want a chance to win the Lego Highway Transport set, just leave a comment on this post. That’s it. Easy, right?

I’ll leave the giveaway open for one week, and choose a winner — randomly, of course — next Thursday night (April 8).

The giveaway is open to readers in the U.S. or Canada. Only one comment per person, please.

  1. I am entering this contest against my better judgment. Because I am well aware of the Lego multiplication factor. It frightens me. But my boys would love this.

  2. Elind M. says:

Is this excluded from family members? If so, that is rotten! Hah, I was just telling Amber a story about Legos today… Rocky was getting scolded for eating something that did not belong to him when suddenly he opened his mouth and a pile legos, including R2D2 fell out. Apparently he thought he was busted on eating those as well… I am a bad parent because I just started laughing!

  3. Erin says:

When we first entered the world of Legos everything was kept in a box, until my then 5-year-old said we needed a better organization method. So we upgraded to the Sterlite drawers, 6 big ones and 3 small ones. However, the Legos kept multiplying and now we are onto the Target ITSO cubes and bins. I’m not sure where we go from here, hopefully the bins will keep us organized for awhile.

  4. Katie says:

Sounds fabulous! My little ones would love it!

Wowsers. I would love this. My son’s birthday is in June and that would be a fantastic present for him. He is just now starting to really love and get into the whole Lego thing. Bad for my feet in the middle of the night… but LOVE to see his silly grins after he’s built something “all by himself” … So count me in as well. And thanks to you and to All Children’s Furniture for offering this up. What a great giveaway!

  12. Stonefox says:

We’re lacking in the Lego department at our house, but with the only boy turning 5 this summer I think it’s time to give it a chance! :)

  23. Awesome! I’ve never seen anything like that. We’d love to win it.

And yes, I find Legos everywhere. And I had to laugh about the headless Lego dude, because there’s one that’s been on our side table for a while in various states of disemodiment.

  24. stacy says:

Oh, my son would love this! He has put together several of those huge Star Wars sets. It took 2 years for one of them, but he did it.

  25. Karen says:

I am going to enter to win this for my three boys, though I shudder at doing so. Like you, we have Lego’s EVERYWHERE and the thought of adding nearly 1300 more is, well, overwhelming, LOL. But, they love them. And they spend every dollar of birthday or holiday money on them, so I have just accepted that our home in now Legoville;)

  26. Ellie says:

This year, my fourth graders are really into Lego. I have bought some (for inside recess) and some has been donated. My husband said, “Buy it, there’s a truckload in the basement! My son, who is 24, said, “That’s for the children I’m not going to have.”

Hahahaha. I think at 24 he’d love this set. I can’t bring it to school, learning needs to get done in the next two months!

It would be fun to win, but I wish Lego love to all who enter!

  27. Sabrina says:

LOGOS HAVE TAKEN OVER MY LIVING ROOM!!!!!!!!

So I’m *really* entering against my better judgment… my husband and I live in an absolutely adorable (and generally efficient) apartment… about 750 sq ft. He still has all the legos he grew up with and a couple sets he bought as an adult. They’re stacked in totes in my living room until I find a better place for them. What’s a few more, though? ;)

It’s before midnight on the 8th so here’s me with my fingers crossed (or not–stepping on Legos in the middle of the night is akin to having a hot poker thrust in your eye–ask me how I know!). But my boys would love this set guaranteed.
