Welcome to Spring Reading Thing 2010
There are birds building nests in our trees, the sun is showing itself more and more — signs of spring are everywhere. And there’s nothing I’d rather do than pick a book from my list, sit in a nice sunny corner of the house, and start reading! I hope you’re ready to read, too!
I’m looking forward to seeing what’s on everyone’s reading lists this spring, and finding some new and irresistible books to add to my TBR (to-be-read) pile.
Whatever you’re reading for this challenge, I hope you enjoy each and every book!
Here’s a brief recap of how to be a part of Spring Reading Thing 2010:
- Make a list of books you want to read (or finish reading) this spring. Your list can be as long or as short as you’d like. (Also, feel free to modify your list during the challenge if it’s not working for you.)
- Write a blog post containing your list and submit it to this post using the Mr. Linky below.
- Get reading! The challenge goes from today, March 20th, through June 20th, 2010.
- Check out other participants’ lists and add to your own to-read-someday pile!
- Write a post about your challenge experience in June, telling us all about whether you reached your goals and how the Spring Reading Thing went for you. But remember: this is a low-pressure challenge that should be fun. As long as you do some reading this spring (and enjoy it!), that’s good enough for me.
There’s a Mr. Linky at the end of this post. Please use it to link to your blog post containing your Spring Reading Thing list. Remember to link to your specific post, not just your general blog homepage. People will be stopping by for days (or weeks!) and when you link to your specific post, it will make it easier for everyone to find your reading list. Also, if you don’t mind, please link back here from your post so that your readers can come check out all the other participants.
So post your list, get ready for a spring full of reading, and check out all the other bloggers who love to read as much as you do!

Note: There is NO limit to when people can sign up to participate in Spring Reading Thing 2010. You’re welcome to join in any time between now and June! The “deadlines” mentioned in the prize/giveaways post are only for prize eligibility.
That should cover all the details. Link up below and let’s get reading!

Found your post over the weekend and wrote my own as a result. I already had a post scheduled for Saturday, so I’m a couple of days late.
It was actually good to think about what I’ve read so far and what’s next on the list. Looking forward to Spring Break and some time on the beach to do a little reading.

Am joining in this spring! My list is up! Have already begun books 1-3! Can’t wait to see what other people are gonna read!!
hi Katrina, I am here again. I failed miserably in the winter challenge. Well things were really not moving for me then. I want to give one further attempt to participating in a reading challenge. I don’t have my list of books yet, but soon enough I should have a list. Like you suggested, am going to hit my book shelve(s) first and finish two books I started and never finished first. One is a novel by Coetzee – Slow Man and the other is called Rise and Fall of Alexandria.
Happy reading everyone!!!
Cool! A friend found you and I’m jumping in!!! Thanks!
Since I enjoyed Fall Into Reading Challenge 2009, I’m sure to enjoy this challenge as well. Not mention, I get to reduce my TBR!
Thanks for setting this up, Katrina!

It’s so nice to welcome the changing season with a reading challenge! Thanks so much for hostessing, Katrina! I’m a bit late, but my list is up;)
Haven’t done the challenge in awhile, so I’m looking forward to it!
I am pleased to say I have finished my first book from my list. I just finished the book “Too Soon Old, Too Late Smart” by Gordon Livingston (Thirty True Things You Need To Know Now).
I really liked this book and it was an easy read. It’s so full of wisdom about the choices we make in life, overcoming the loss of a loved one, raising children, overcoming our past, happiness, forgiveness and so much more. I am looking forward to getting the follow up book to this, “And Never Stop Dancing, Thirty More True Things You Need To Know Now”.
I am late getting my list up due to a death in the family but I had so much fun with the Fall Reading Thing I knew I had to participate again. Thanks so much for hosting both challenges!
I really liked the whole idea behind this challenge. I wonder if there is someone from Turkey taking it? If not, here I am
Thanks for hosting this! This is my first reading challenge, although I read all the time.
Just finished my first book! Will you be putting up a post for reviews as usual?
Just joined in all the fun…
Thanks for an exciting challenge and a GORGEOUS looking challenge button

Guys, you will see from my blog, how slow I have really been. Need some encouragement from all of you. I really want to finish my six books this spring.
Hi Katrina,
Will you be hosting a place to link our reviews? Am I overlooking that link? (Making some good progress on the challenge!)
Blessings, e-Mom

I’m late! I knew I should have put it in my calendar when we finished up the Fall Into Reading Challenge! Better late than never, so here I am!
Thank you for hosting this challenge, I’m really looking forward to tackling my list. It’s long – 37 books – and all of them are on my shelf waiting to be read. So, I’d better get to it!
This is my first Spring Read Thing and I’m excited about it! Thanks for giving me a way to kick myself in the rear to read these books.
Just found out about this challenge. Thank you for hosting this! I posted my link, hopefully it works right. Looking forward to reading away.
I JUST barely found this. Am very excited to be signing up, though I only have less than a month left. It will make it that much more of a challenge. It’ll also be that friendly reminder in the back of my head to not let the end of senior year keep me from my wonderful books! LOL!
Thanks for doing this *grin*
Hannah
LOL Of course I find this the day before it ends! I am going to post something about it anyway. Hopefully we can do a summer version because I spend more time reading than doing anything else!
Thanks for hosting!
