I know how you feel. I don't miss all of the snow. I live in Florida. It's funny I met 4 nice young men from New York yesterday in an open air restaurant. The restaurant had their side flaps down and their heaters running and these young men said, "We came here to get out of the cold. What happened?" We have had temps in the low 30's and 40's with wind chills in the low 20's. Some snow north of us and iced and frost where I live. Yes it is better than what you have but it puts us in a funk as well. I have noticed less activity on my blog and many others for the same reason. You are not alone. Looking forward to the Spring challenge.

I understand funks, especially the weather controlled. One winter I got pushed into skiing because of a business event at the slopes that included taking the family. (Pushed because I had sworn off anything athletic since jr high school because it didn't pay well & I stunk). Chad, watched me struggle for awhile, then said, "just follow me down and do what I do." That experience generated weekends of early Saturday's off to the ski slopes for the next several years.
The winter funks still lurk around any weather front moving in, but at least there's a way to break it up when somebody says, "let's go skiing or biking or walking or anything that gets the blood moving to push the funk out.
Just thought I'd share my funky little success story.
Your non-athletic father-in-law

I'm SO curious about the irritating book. I'm glad I'm not the only one to have that reaction occasionally!

Come on down to Texas - we've got blue skies and a high of 65 today!

Yes, I totally understand. I have been posting, but not as much as the activities in my life would merit.

I too am very curious about the irritating book, since I already know which book you liked.

Oh mercy, I am right there beside ya in that funky trench! But it does sound like you've been doing some cool stuff whilst away from your blog--so that's a plus!
I, too, want to know what book irritated you and which ones sucked you in real good.
Hugs of solidarity on the incredible desire to just.drive.far.south.
