Us too – we hunkered down, came out for a bit of air, and are hunkered down again, just looking out the window watching and waiting for it to come in round two. Knitting, books, hot chocolate – that must be what all of southwestern PA is doing, at least those of us blessed enough to have power. Stay warm!

wow, you got some great shots. mike’s truck looks like the big monster truck he always dreams of, with all the snow piled high. glad you guys are just taking it easy and hibernating – really, that’s the best way to deal with all of this.

Glad you have some power over there. We’ve managed to keep ours on and even get a hot shower despite the water conservation request (it’s just an unreasonable request after shoveling 23″ of snow and doing strange ballet-like jumps to get the snow over the 5′ retaining walls surrounding the driveway). My poor Aliza won’t even venture out into the snow, she claims that she will get lost. I tried to assure her that her head should still be clearly visible, but she will have none of it! Hope your boys are enjoying this a bit more.

I lived in Vienna, VA in 1978 and we had a similar snowstorm that was simply awesome for this TX girl. We only lived there for a year and half. I don’t miss the super cold weather, but the storms that got us out of school were great! That particular storm was the best because it started on a Monday. They let us go home early and we did not have school again until the next Monday. The dads of the neighborhood finally got together and tried to clear the street themselves. Your pictures are beautiful and remind me of that time. Thanks for sharing!

We are in Virginia, it began snowing Friday, 6am, and ended Saturday, around 2 to 3pm. Seriously, I don’t want to measure, but it looks like a LOT.
