Congratulations!

Here’s how the giveaways during Spring Reading Thing 2009 work:

Every Thursday, I post about a new book that’s up for grabs (some weeks, there will be more than one book!). If it sounds like a book you’d like and you want to be eligible to win it, just leave a comment on the post and I’ll put your name in the virtual hat. I’ll leave the post open for comments until the following Wednesday at noon. I’ll then randomly pick a commenter and announce that person as the winner when I put up the next giveaway.

Also, I apologize to any international readers, but these giveaways are only open to readers in the U.S. or Canada.

This week’s giveaway:

Elisha’s Bones

by Don Hoesel

Elisha's BonesThe bones of the prophet once raised the dead to life…
but they vanished from history in a whisper.

Every year, professor of antiquities Jack Hawthorne looks forward to the winter break as a time to hide away from his responsibilities. Even if just for a week or two. But this year, his plans are derailed when he’s offered almost a blank check from a man chasing a rumor.

Billionaire Gordon Reese thinks he knows where the bones of the prophet Elisha are-bones that in the Old Testament brought the dead back to life. A born skeptic, Jack doesn’t think much of the assignment but he could use the money, so he takes the first step on a chase for the legendary bones that will take him to the very ends of the earth. But he’s not alone. Joined with a fiery colleague, Esperanza Habilla, they soon discover clues to a shadowy organization whose long-held secrets have been protected… at all costs. As their lives are threatened again and again, the real race is to uncover the truth before those chasing them hunt them down.

Wow! It’s hard to believe that summer is right around the corner–ok, maybe not too hard to believe with 99 degree weather, but all the same–time is flying. Please enter me to win a copy of Elisha’s Bones. Thanks for hosting!

Clearly, I am too late to qualify for the give-away. However, having read this fine novel, I’d like to congratulate the soon-to-be-announced-winner–you are going to enjoy this. A great deal.

Best,
Ryan
