The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead…”

One of my favorite things about Easter in Ukraine is that people greet each other by saying, “Jesus is Risen!” and the response when someone says it to you is, “In truth, he is risen!” Today one of my Ukrainian friends said she thought it was OK to still greet each other like that for several days after Easter. I told her I thought it would be great if we greeted each other like that all the time!
The Ukrainian Easter is not until next Sunday, so we get a prolonged celebration. Hope yours was lovely.
