Time for another book giveaway from Bethany House! But first, here’s the winner for last week’s book, Rain Song:
Congrats!
Now, on to this week’s giveaway. Here’s how the giveaways work:
Every Thursday, I post about a new book that’s up for grabs. If it sounds like a book you’d like and you want to be eligible to win it, just leave a comment on the post and I’ll put your name in the virtual hat. I’ll leave the post open for comments until the following Wednesday at noon. I’ll then randomly pick a commenter and announce that person as the winner when I put up the next giveaway.
Please make sure that when you leave a comment, you include an email address so I can contact you easily. Also, I apologize to any international readers, but these giveaways are limited to readers in the U.S. or Canada.
So, without further ado, the next book is:
by Beverly Lewis
Before a father departs for his longest business trip yet, he encourages his children to remember that, “Even when I’m not here, God is always with you.” After he leaves, the boy and his little sister spend a fun-filled day and star-filled night remembering everything their father told them about their heavenly Father.
With insightful text, Bible verses, and inspiring illustrations, What Is God Like? vividly answers the questions kids ask most. The final page offers encouragement and suggestions for parents as they seek to teach their children about our wonderful heavenly Father.
“Every good and perfect gift is from God. It comes down from the Father. He created the heavenly lights. He does not change like shadows that move.” –James 1:17

What a great concept! My husband travels a lot and it’s hard for my boys, so that aspect of this story would be good too.

Aw, I so need this book right now. With DaHubby working 40+ hrs a week, then gone 12 hrs/week (plus transpo) for school, and countless hours studying in basement alone, the kids are *really* missing him something fierce.
Sounds great! Perfect for my 3 year old!
I love Beverly Lewis’ writing and will purchase the book if I don’t win it. Thanks!

OOh, I want! Count me in please. My husband travels so much for work I feel like a single mother at times. I think my kids will like this.
Thanks, Nely
sounds like a great book. fingers crossed!!
my e-mail is lace-c at live dot com.
Oh, this sounds like a wonderful book. My littlest cries everyday when dad has to go back to work after lunch so this would be a great book to read with her.
This looks really good. I think we spend a lot of time telling/teaching our kids how God wants them to act, and God might like it better if we taught them how God IS.

This sounds like a wonderful book to add to our collection! Thanks for the review and the chance to win!
Looks like the book would be a big help in answering some of the questions I know are soon to come. My 3YO daughter has already asked, “What is Amen?” Thanks for the review.
count me in!
I can’t believe I won the last one

I love Beverly Lewis’s books! This one sounds like a perfect Christmas gift for my three-year-old daughter, and maybe even her six-year-old sister (out of 8 kids total, which is why I am hoping to win this — every free Christmas gift is a real blessing since we can’t afford to buy things new). Thank you for your continued generosity with these giveaways!
This would be a great book for my niece. She has been asking questions about God and heaven lately.
What a great book! I’m going to look for it at my library! Thank you!
