Katrina, Good to see that Wheelhorse still performing. Wish it had an odometer on it. You acquired it in ’98 after it had been up and down those hills in Drums. Much success to C. as he learns the ropes.(Don’t brake going downhill, let the engine determine the speed. Your brother knows what happens. Love Mom
biggest mistake I ever made was asking to learn how to mow….because then it became my job, regardless of whether I wanted to do it or not! course, the knowledge has come in handy now that I am a homeowner – and am too cheap to pay someone else to keep my yard!
i hope he does better than me; i think i lasted all of about 5 minutes before i bolted . . . from a moving mower. probably explains why i didn’t get my DL till i was 19! (scared of moving vehicles!)
Looks like he’s learning well! It’s nice when the kids can help out with these kinds of things. The Bean is really starting to be a big help with getting things or putting them where they need to go.

Amanda has been dying to learn to mow, and we don’t even have a cool riding mower.
I’m sure that her excitement would last about two weeks. Hopefully next summer she’ll be able to do it.
Sweet. Send him on over to our place if he needs more practice! It will be years before Quin can take over. Perhaps C. can teach him?

Really, this is the reason my husband and I had kids…
Way to go, C.!
Great shot, won’t it be great when he takes over that lovely job?!
THANK YOU! You just reminded me:
I have THREE BOYS…I have it made.
You and I may never have to mow again.:-) Such bliss.
Cool – another year and Grant-man can do it!! Mike will love this!
Start them off young!!! Great shot.
Happy WW!!
We always loved it when one of ours got old enough to take that job! Then they would wait anxiously until the one behind them could take over!
I love it!!! My daughters love going up to the fram! They get to drive the tractors and mow the lawn. Too fun!!!
That is a great photo! My little guy is enthusiastic about mowing too:) Although not big enough to sit on the tractor without help!
