I was recently meme-tagged by two different bloggers: Ginny and Jubilee. Luckily for me, they both tagged me for the same meme: Seven random facts about me. So without further ado…
1. I don’t like confrontation, but I really don’t like unresolved conflict. There comes a time when you just have to hash things out and get it over with, so it’s not constantly hanging over your head.
2. I’m almost done with my Christmas shopping (aside from a few people — ahem, family members — who have not made their Christmas lists yet) and I did about 98% of my shopping online. I’m sure the UPS man is tired of visiting my house, and the garbage men are tired of the piles of boxes waiting for them every week. But having the gifts dropped off at my front door sure beats fighting crowds with a stroller and a grumpy 1-year-old.
3. I loved math class when I was in high school. And I’d probably be willing to go back to college and get a degree in math. Some people might call me a geek.
4. I cut my own hair these days. I’m not particularly good at it, but it’s passable, I think.
5. I do not scrapbook. At all. I’ve attempted it a couple times, but I lack the creativity and patience to do it well…and who wants a half-hearted scrapbook? So I just stick pictures in those photo books that have a little space next to the pictures where you can write something. Honestly, my family’s lucky if I even get this much done. I’m pretty good at taking pictures consistently, just not at doing much with them afterward.
6. Every night when I head upstairs to bed, it seems that I always forget something. Sometimes I forget my book, sometimes I forget to turn off the outside Christmas lights, sometimes I forget to feed the cat and I know she will be whining in my face at 4:00 a.m., when she chooses to visit her food bowl and becomes offended by its emptiness. But whatever it is, I always have to come back downstairs to deal with it.
7. If you and I were on a road trip, and if I were driving, and if there happened to be some road construction, you would notice something: I really and truly do not like construction barriers. I’m a good driver, I’ve never hit or even scraped anything… but those barriers that sit side by side, right at the very edge of the lane, freak me out. If possible, I will drive in whatever lane does not have them.
I won’t tag seven specific people, but if you’d like to participate, you are tagged!

First Post??
I guess this blog doesn’t get too giddy over that, but I still do!
I thought that I would point you toward iPhoto for the scrapbooking. You could just drop your pictures onto a book and they get placed all slick without much work.
I knew about your 7th one… and I am with you on the second one! Who needs crowds when you know what it is that you want??
I will have you know that my family has their list posted… but I guess you know that.
I think the UPS man comes to my house after he leaves yours. My mother keeps saying the neighbors are going to think we’re trafficking drugs, but I kinda doubt that’s done via UPS, but what do I know??
I didn’t think I scrapbooked either, but I’m currently doing one for my mom for Christmas, and I’ve actually surprised myself. I doubt I’ll do it very often though — that’s one expensive hobby!
Funny you got tagged by both of us
Thanks for playing. A big part of scrapbooking or at least the most important is the journaling, so if you are jotting down notes then that is great. Too be honest you are probably one step ahead of most scrappers, we get so caught up in the design that we tend to fall behind a lot
I can relate to many of them, except the math part. Yep that is strange but I’m very impressed
My husband and I refer to those construction barriers as the “35 foot walls”. We drove truck for a long time and the first time I drove next to one of those suckers in a plain, old, short, little car I almost had a heart attack. I HATE those things!
I know what you mean about forgetting things. There’s been many a night I got up after 5 minutes in bed with the lights out and remembered something I forgot to do.
i’m with you on the scrapbooking thing. the mere thought just gives me a headache! probably because it’s akin to what i do all day at work – put pieces together?
i do the same thing getting ready for bed . . . drives mike nuts!
Here’s to the anti-scrappers of the world! I can’t even get 3 rolls of film developed from a few years ago before we entered into the realm of digital. And I never thought I would have as much in common with you that we both cut our own hair…but really, why should I spend $25 to have some silly teenager make fun of me because I don’t use SALON products. BTW, she did not get a tip!
I have always hated those construction barriers as well, but I actually am sort of a bad driver (if you look objectively at my record). I also really do not like unresolved conflict hanging over my head.
Loved math in high school as well, and guess what? I do have a degree in math! A geek, and (somewhat) proud of it!
And I don’t scrapbook. Scrapbooking would be a cruel and unusual form of TORTURE for me! Torture! I say that’s why God gave me boys…they won’t care!
