As promised in my update to the Spring Reading Thing post, here is a little information about additional book giveaways that I’ll be able to do this spring.
Bethany House Publishers contacted me earlier this week and made a wonderful offer. They’ll be sending me nine books from their recent releases for me to give away to blog readers! There are both fiction and non-fiction books, and a variety of genres. It looks like a great batch of books!
So, starting sometime in April, I’ll be giving away one book every week. I’ll post a blurb about the book so you can decide if you’re interested or not. Then all you have to do is leave a comment on that post to be eligible. I’ll pick a random commenter as the winner.
(I’m sorry to my Canadian readers, but I will have to limit these books to U.S. readers, simply because I’ll be personally mailing all the books to the winners. Sorry!)
So stay tuned for the Bethany House books and get ready to comment!
Also, there’s still time to join the Spring Reading Thing. In fact, there’s always time — there’s no deadline for signing up. So if you were thinking about joining in the fun, don’t feel like it’s too late. Just get your list together and link up when you have a chance!
I will be visiting everyone’s lists, but I can’t say for sure when I’ll get to them all. I’ll be mostly off-line for the next 5 days, so it may be a few days. But rest assured, I will get to your list. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading all the lists that I’ve visited so far!

Wow, that’s exciting! The thing book-lovers love best next to reading is a free book give-away!
I’m Canadian but I have an idea if I should ever be one of the lucky winners – my sister-in-law (also one of my dearest friends, maid of honour and fellow book lover)lives in Philly – you could mail it to her and she could bring it to me when she comes up for her annual visit to PEI. Would that work??
All I can say is :v(
If I can get my spring act together, I may jump on board. My original thought was that with so much happening around here in the next three months, my reading isn’t going to be organized enough to post about. But I’m rethinking that now.
How nice of Bethany House to do this. What a fun little extra to add to this already amazingly popular reading challenge.
Kathryn – Yes, that would absolutely work.
Susanne – I’m sorry.
I was trying to think of a way to make it “fair,” and include Canadians, but shipping potentially 9 books out of country (if that’s how the random draw went) would be prohibitive. I’ll have to keep thinking about it. Maybe I could open up one or two drawings to my Canadian buddies, too?
Barb – You don’t even have to be part of the Spring Reading Thing to be eligible for these drawings! I completely understand that busyness!
**gasp**
Free books!!
Oh, I feel faint!
I’m breakin’ out into a sweat…I’m so excited!!
Bethany House, you’re my new favorite publisher:-) Free books!! Yay!! Did I mention I’m excited?? Oh, yeah, I did………
WooHoo! I only have one complaint! You need a disclaimer that says participating in this challenge will probably INCREASE the size of your TBR pile(s). I have already added several books to my list, and even ordered a few great recommendations from Amazon.com. Thanks again for a fabulous challenge idea! I’m hooked for sure!
Wow. What a generous offer! I look forward to seeing what they send you.
